Drain Field Oversaturation

A flooded or overworked drain field will become oversaturated. Excessive rainfall, flooding, and failing to pump your septic tank can lead to these problems. When your drain field is oversaturated, it won’t be able to process or treat wastewater. This problem will lead to a failing drain field with permanent damage, which can in turn ruin your whole septic system. In order to prevent oversaturation of your drain field, be sure to pump your tank regularly and conserve water in your home during times of high rainfall or flooding.
